We got Katie in to see the pediatrician yesterday. Turns out she doesn't have a sinus infection, but she does have a throat/tonsil infection. The doctor said it was one of the worst she's seen. I'm surprised Katie hasn't been in more pain with it--but on the other hand, she's always had a really high pain tolerance, so it's usually very hard to know when something is hurting her.
So, she's on Round #4 of antibiotics now. The doctor put her on a high dosage of Omnicef for 14 days. Hopefully, this will finally kick it. Maybe by the time she's finished taking it, the weather will have improved some too. I'm guessing all this rainy weather we've had the past six weeks hasn't helped the situation much.
We also got an appointment with a ENT who specializes in nasal/sinus problems. It's not until June 4th, but I guess that's really not too bad, considering how long it sometimes takes to get in to see a new doctor. Hopefully he'll have some answers as to why this keeps happening so much.
