Christmas Celebrations

Can you believe it's 2010 already? It sure was a fast year! We enjoyed several Christmas celebrations at home and with our families. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we celebrated with Arlin's family in northern Ohio. This was the first time we had all been together in a couple of years, so it was really nice to spend time with everyone. Katie traveled really well and enjoyed the day.

Katie got some fun gifts from her teachers, interpreter, and aide at school.

Then we enjoyed Christmas day at my parent's house in Kentucky. Katie did well again and seemed to show more interest in opening gifts this year.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! May 2010 bring you lots of happiness and blessings!

I hope your family had a wonderful holiday season. Katie I hope you enjoy your new Mr. Potato Head!! Eve also got one this year. (For the same reason..great Moms think alike!)

I am so happy to read about Katie's signing progress. :) It's so amazing to be able to read about your blossoming skills and I am very thankful to hear all about it. I can't wait Eve reaches that point with her communication.

Hi Leslie,

I just wanted to thank you for always taking time to check in on Jeff and leave comments on his blog.

Katie is such a doll! So glad to hear that everyone in the Kauffman family had a wonderful Christmas. I enjoyed reading about all the new skills Katie is acquiring. These precious ones are so smart. Jeff is 25 and still continues to amaze me with the things he learns. They might learn at a slower pace, but they do get there on their own time frame. It is so exciting to us as their parents, because we know of all their system deficits and the work and energy they put into learning.

Three cheers to the charming Miss Katie, who will continue to amaze us all througout her life!

Smiles from Linda
